Welcome!

We Speak Tangent

We Speak Tangent is a podcast brought to you by the Neurodivergent Entrepreneurs’ Network (NEN), by neurodivergent people, for neurodivergent people. The NEN was established by five neurodivergent entrepreneurs in the South of Scotland – Dr Kat Mackay, Rachel Parker, Michael Greaves Mackintosh, James Alexander Gaffney and Amelia Pettman.

We Speak Tangent interviews neurodivergent entrepreneurs to empower members of the community to tell the story of their journey as relatable role models. We Speak Tangent aims to inspire neurodivergent people through validation and help to provide the information and connections they need to action their ideas and set up their own businesses within a supportive and inclusive community.

We Speak Tangent and the Neurodivergent Entrepreneurs Network is produced in partnership with the South of Scotland Enterprise.

The Frangipane Bakery

Founded by neurodivergent entrepreneur Rachel Parker, The Frangipane Bakery is on a mission to spread joy through baking and to support fellow neurodivergent people into meaningful work.

The work of the bakery is based on two core beliefs:

– Everyone deserves the dignity of a meaningful and worthwhile job regardless of their circumstances or background

-People who require a gluten-free diet should be able to experience the same joy from food as everyone else.

As a social enterprise, the profits generated from baking go back into the business to support their social impact work.

We highly recommend their decadent brownies and fabulous flapjacks, which fuel all the tangents at our podcast recording sessions.
